The Junior Buyer is responsible for supporting the Purchasing Team with the development and implementation of the Supply Chain strategy throughout UML. This role will provide assistance with the complete range of strategic and new product introduction sourcing activities, including purchasing goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.
Key Responsibilities
1. Source goods, materials, and services to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
2. Build and manage supplier relationships, ensuring performance and compliance.
3. Provide spend analysis, reports, and KPI tracking to drive improvements.
4. Support cross-departmental projects and manage purchasing data.
5. Negotiate contracts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
