Assistant to Production Manager (Weaving) | Bedworth | Full Time - fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension| Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break; 34 hours per week) | Salary depending on experience
Founded in 1685, our client’s company is one of the world’s oldest family run businesses and holder of a Royal Warrant. They design and make jewellery, embroidery, medals, ribbon & insignia, and a broad range of other identity-based products for state institutions and corporate clients around the world.
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant to the Production Manager. This role involves working closely with the Weaving Manager, deputising in their absence, and ensuring the smooth operation of stock control and administrative processes. Full training will be provided.

What will your role look like?
* Manage and control stock in both the Weaving and Wire Departments
* Order stock through the procurement department and maintain accurate computer records
* Liaise with the Weaving Manager on stock and wire orders until fully trained
* Book stock into the system, create labels for boxes and shade cards, and adjust labels when booking stock out
* Conduct annual stock takes to ensure accuracy
* Provide warpers with specification sheets and ensure winding machines are supplied with yarn
* Prioritise inspection processes and label/book completed work on the computer
* Organise the shrink wrapping of ribbons as needed
* Learn and assist with production planning for the shop floor
* Issue yarn and wires to the shop floor and wire department, logging and booking them off the computer accurately
* Support the creation and management of job orders and specification sheets for efficient workflow
* Advise on and respond to sales queries and eventually handle customer inquiries regarding the wire department
* Learn the basics of writing weaving specifications and creating yarn wrappings to customer specifications
* Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are implemented and followed
