Brooklands Health Centre has a fantastic opportunity for a healthcare assistant, but regular travel is required, as NHS Health Checks will be carried out either at our practices in Milton Keynes or at local workplaces. The role is offered on a prat time basis for up to 32 hours per week, including evening hours, 6pm to 8:30pm, and Saturdays 9am to 1pm. Less than 32 hours can also be considered. Main duties include: Conduct NHS Health Checks and cardiovascular assessments, following national standards and protocols. Provide one-on-one support and guidance to patients on making healthier lifestyle choices. Assist in promoting health screening and raising awareness of primary prevention. Travel to various locations within the local area, given that the health checks will take place both at our practice locations and/or at the patients’ workplaces. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant healthcare guidelines and policies. Attend training and development sessions to continue improving your skills and knowledge. About the Candidate You will have the following sills and experience:• A motivated individual with a passion for preventative healthcare and supporting patients in making positive lifestyle changes. Experience in delivering NHS Health Checks and cardiovascular assessments (or a willingness to develop these skills). The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. A full driving license and access to personal transport, as this role requires regular travel.
