Events Manager
An exciting opportunity to be part of this new and unique venue due to open in December. They will offer a 55-cover restaurant with a small terrace for the warmer months, a courtyard restaurant, large bar and an exclusive chefs table. Alongside this there will also be 2 private hire spaces and a large marquee for weddings, wine led events and parties throughout the summer.
The property also has further plans for expansion, so there will be great prospects for growth.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for end-to-end event planning, from conceptualization through to execution.
Working closely with clients, vendors & internal teams to deliver seamless, successful events.
In charge of sales and booking stage of private dining rooms
Part of the leadership team, embracing the pioneering spirit and ensuring a premium offering.
Report on the financial performance of the business action plans to support improvements, optimising profit and maximising margins.
Build a team and create a culture where our people feel supported, have opportunities to grow and enjoy coming to work.
Nurture a team of talented superheroes, with a training programme to ensure retention and promotion from within.
Lead the hospitality commitment to sustainability, working with the sustainability project manager to ultimately lead to a B-Corp application.
Guide and implement policies, procedure and systems to improve overall business operations and service.
Ensure effective hands-on day to day management and problem solving for events departments
The person:
A hospitality professional with previous experience within a similar role
Create a fun working environment without compromising on a first-class customer experience.
The ability to think big, but also not to be afraid to roll up your sleeves
An appreciation of group dynamics
Good commercial awareness able to see the whole business perspective
Good knowledge across Human Resources disciplines and their application
A strong communicator, in both written and verbal forms
Excellent time and project management skills
Able to form strong relationships and take people with them
Self-motivated in approach, continually presenting solutions
Resilient and able to motivate others
Passionate about personal development and learning
High levels of integrity and personal discipline
WSET Level 2 preferred but not required
Previous Food and Beverage Management experienced required
This will be a new opening, and they are looking for an Event Manager to start in December and be an integral part of the success of the business.
