An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Staff Nurse based at University Hospital Crosshouse & University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
As a registered General Nurse working within the renal unit setting you will gain experience in all aspects of caring for a chronic renal patient and carrying out their renal replacement therapy. The renal unit offers a commitment to lifelong learning and the candidate will be able to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development through the education programme developed by the renal practice development nurse. You will have to be involved in research and development and maintaining best practice and need to be able to show evidence of personal development.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Knowledge and skills of working in a dialysis unit within Ayrshire and Arran is essential. Good manual dexterity is essential as the successful candidate will be inserting dialysis needles and working with permanent lines and setting up dialysis machines.
Hours:
23.7 per week. Working day or night shift at University Hospital Crosshouse and work day shift at University Hospital Ayr.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership: Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
