Job summary This substantive post is available at 0.2FTE. The post is primarily focussed upon undergraduate and postgraduate clinical education, with the potential to contribute to educational research. We are seeking an outstanding individual with good experience in general dental practice to contribute to teaching, clinical supervision and associated academic duties commensurate with the level and FTE of the role. The role requires active and enthusiastic commitment to teaching and the delivery of high-quality student-led patient care. Excellent inter-personal skills to foster collaborative approaches with existing teaching and research programmes in the Bristol Dental School and Faculty are highly desirable. Main duties of the job The post holder(s) will facilitate high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education. The successful candidate(s) will be expected to participate in a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching activities including the supervision of students carrying out patient care, as well as preparing teaching material e.g., lectures/ tutorials and contributing to important School activities including for example admissions interviews and student examinations. The successful candidate(s) will be expected to comply with all relevant clinical policies relating to administration of patient care. This includes working to set timescales for the triage of referrals, following the specified process for the management of patients that do not attend their appointment, and the completion of all paperwork deemed necessary to support the management and discharge of their patients.
