We are seeking an entrepreneurial Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team. Are you a commercially savvy professional with a passion for construction and facilities management? As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in driving the commercial success of our projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure our projects are commercially viable and profitable, while also working with the Project Management Office (PMO) to deliver Value for Money (VfM) for our clients.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the Commercial Process from Start to Finish:
o Manage the commercial aspects of multiple projects, including cost planning and contract negotiations.
o Develop robust pricing strategies and risk assessments that align with our company standards.
2. Drive Portfolio Performance:
o Work with Project Managers to maximize profitability and ensure accurate cost management across a portfolio of projects.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate favourable terms.
3. Administer Contracts and Manage Changes:
o Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim valuations and final accounts.
o Ensure that all contract variations are properly documented, evaluated, and agreed upon.
4. Control Costs and Mitigate Risks:
o Implement effective cost control measures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
o Develop strategies to manage financial risks and contingencies.
5. Provide Insightful Reporting and Analysis:
o Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support decision-making.
o Conduct financial reviews and audits to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
* Commercial Acumen: Strong appreciation of financial principles and the ability to manage project budgets effectively.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement solutions quickly and effectively.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in work and excellent analytical skills.
* Leadership: Ability to influence and drive commercial outcomes in a collaborative manner.

Pay rate: 350 - 400 a day via Umbrella or CIS.
