About the role: Nail Technology Teacher Activate Learning have an exciting opportunity for a Nail Technology Teacher to join our vibrant team at Reading College. This role is designed to empower creative, motivated students through an engaging curriculum that brings out their best in the field of nail technology. In this position, you’ll primarily teach and assess students at Levels 1, 2, and 3. We’re seeking a confident, enthusiastic instructor with a passion for delivering hands-on, impactful lessons tailored to nurture each student’s unique potential. This is a permanent, part-time position based at our Reading campus, requiring 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE). For the right candidate, we offer flexible scheduling, and occasional travel to other campuses may be needed. What makes a successful Nail Technology Teacher at Activate Learning? We’re looking for inspiring role models who equip students not only with professional qualifications but with the confidence and skills needed to thrive in the industry. To be successful in this role, you should have: A minimum Level 3 qualification in Nail Technology, recent hands-on experience, and current industry knowledge to help shape the next generation of nail professionals. While prior teaching experience and qualifications are beneficial, they aren’t required. If you hold the necessary qualifications in nail technology and have a genuine passion for teaching, we’ll provide you with all the training and support you need to succeed in the Further Education (FE) sector. About you: Level 3 or above qualification in nail technology and experience as a nail technician is essential Assessors award or willingness to work towards within the first 3 months is essential It is desirable if you have a teaching qualification and worked within education as a teacher, but this is not essential You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
