We are currently collaborating with a progressive young people's service provider that offers a nourishing and therapeutic environment where young individuals can learn and develop into empathetic and understanding adults.
Their services are available across the East Midlands, and they are expanding into Northampton to strengthen their presence in the region.
As a young people's mentor, you will:

* Be resilient and adaptable to the fact that relationships with young people can fluctuate; they might be close one day and distant or challenging the next.
* Enjoy creating a fun environment while also providing support for overwhelming emotions.
* Be capable of reading and supporting the review and update of detailed personal plans during your shifts.
* Be open to engaging with young people in activities like styling or makeup, serving as a positive role model.
* Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as cooking dinner while entertaining teenagers, demonstrating patience and composure.
* Possess some knowledge of football, Xbox, and TikTok videos; diverse hobbies are advantageous.
To succeed in this role, you must:
* Have experience working with young people or adults with challenging behaviour.
* Hold a valid driving license or be able to access the NN14 postcode easily.
* Be willing to complete an 18-month qualification to work within the sector, which will be funded by the company.
* Have a positive attitude and emotional and social intelligence.
In return, you will receive a salary of £27,040 per year, plus £4,000 in overtime and sleep allowances, opportunities for career development, a chance to complete a QCF Level 3 in children's services, 6 weeks of annual leave, and access to various activities like day trips and VR experiences, along with a comprehensive employee package.
