Fluoroscopy Nurse - Pain Management Clinic
Overview:
The Fluoroscopy Nurse assists pain management physicians during fluoroscopy-guided procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. They monitor vital signs, provide pre- and post-procedure care, and support with sedation and patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pre-Procedure: Assess patients, provide education, and assist with consent and preparation.
* During Procedure: Support physicians, position patients, administer medications, and monitor vital signs.
* Post-Procedure: Monitor recovery, give discharge instructions, and ensure follow-up care.
* Documentation: Record assessments, procedures, and medications in EMR.
* Safety: Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain sterile techniques.
Hours:
8am - 4/4:30 pm

Windsor
Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unrestricted license to practice in Ontario, in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
* Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, preferably in a radiology or fluoroscopy setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment plans, and care instructions.
* Ability to maintain composure and emotional stability when coping with emergencies, stress, and patient suffering.
* Strong attention to safety, quality, and infection control standards.
* Knowledgeable in medical procedures, equipment, and operating within medical facilities.
* Proven ability to perform nursing assessments and provide effective triage.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning during procedures.
Work Environment:
* Clinic or outpatient setting, working alongside physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
