About the Role

We are seeking a Library Acquisitions Officer to join our team and oversee the development and management of our scholarly collections. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on our library's development as we transform our library services to support world-class learning, teaching, and research.
You will manage the acquisitions and procurement of physical and digital resources for the Library Collections Acquisitions Team, which is key to Warwick Library's student and academic experience.
About You
You will have the opportunity to shape the Library’s collection, ensuring access to high-quality resources for students and staff. You should be experienced in working in a professional library or acquisitions/procurement role and have experience managing staff and leading teams through change.
You will need the ability to interpret purchasing contracts, negotiate effectively, and handle complexity and competing demands, with attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret data.
Excellent communication and influencing skills (both oral and written) are essential, as is the ability to build strong professional relationships.
