Main duties of the job
1. Support the operational aspects of the pharmacy homecare service with planning, developing and organising, under the direction of Pharmacy Homecare Service Manager.
2. Process, authorise and receipt Homecare deliveries on the pharmacy system and provide homecare pharmacy service within clinical areas as required due to service capacity.
3. Be a point of contact within the Trust regarding medicines home delivery service for Homecare companies, Pharmacists, Clinicians, Purchasers, Contracting and Finance.
4. Co-ordinate the pharmacy homecare medicines service, prioritise and manage the workload and resolve problems as they arise.
5. Support service review meetings for homecare medicines management working closely with homecare companies, pharmacists, nurses, doctors, other healthcare staff and patients.
6. Work with clinical pharmacists and clinicians to develop and implement effective systems for administering patient access schemes (PAS).

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Must be ACT accredited.
* NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services or Equivalent.
* Previous experience in hospital or community pharmacy.
