The Junior Designer is responsible for working alongside the team with the design of our own brand product. They will support the desiger and development team in the design and development of clothing and accessories within outdoor. Ensuring product is fit for purpose, delivered on time and commercial in margin and design direction. Job Title - Junior Designer Location - JD Group, Hollinsbrook Way, Pilsworth, BL9 8RR Working Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, 40 hours per week. What You'll Be Doing: A varied and exciting role, working across multiple products and outdoor brands at any one time. Designing and assisting the senior designer in creating new product across multiple brands. Design of both clothing and clothing accessories Creating CADs and supporting the development team in the production of tech packs Working with the suppliers to ensure all information is correct and all queries are answered in a timely manner. Working with the senior designer to produce creative, commercial, and compelling outdoor product. Strong creative vision and love for the outdoors is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst working to a critical path Collaborate across buying, merchandising, web, and marketing to ensure all product information is accurate and correct. Working with the PLM system and CLO 3D design Managing the fabric library Presenting design to the wider teams Working with the team for product launches – ensuring all brands are presented correctly. Approving lab dips, trims, bulk fabric Researching new trends, competitor activity and retail trends Visiting retail/stores reviewing competitor set and wider retail fascia’s. Collating sales data each week, to track exclusive brand performance. Working to the critical path and ensure all information is available for design and product sign offs. Attending fit sessions What We're Looking For: Relevant clothing design degree level or similar level Experience in a fast-paced environment either brand or retail within a similar role is preferable Good working knowledge of Excel, Illustrator and Adobe Ability to multitask, working on multiple styles and seasons at once.
