Full-Time Resistant Materials (Design & Technology) Teacher – Eastleigh, Hampshire

GSL Education are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Resistant Materials (Design & Technology) Teacher at a forward-thinking secondary school in Eastleigh. This role begins in September 2025 and comes with an annual salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000, depending on your experience and expertise. A fixed-term contract will be offered following a successful probation period.
We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners with a passion for hands-on learning.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality teaching of Resistant Materials across Key Stages 3 and 4, engaging students in practical and theory-based lessons.
* Plan, prepare, and evaluate schemes of work and learning activities that spark creativity and problem-solving.
* Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Support students in developing their technical skills through project-based work and assessments.
* Contribute to the school’s Design & Technology department with fresh ideas and collaborative teamwork.
Requirements:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Specialises in resistant materials or has strong experience in the design & technology field.
* Demonstrates excellent classroom management and workshop safety awareness.
* Passionate about practical learning and empowering students through creativity and design.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to teaching.
* Open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and seasoned educators.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
