Process Engineer Fulltime – Days – Gloucester - Salary up to £45,000 I am hiring a Process Engineer on behalf of a leading manufacturer in Gloucester. This is an opportunity to play a key role in optimising production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring top-tier quality performance. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing robust process controls that drive consistency and high-quality output. You'll also focus on enhancing workflow and minimising waste across manufacturing value streams. Additionally, you'll support the seamless introduction of new products and processes, applying standardised methodologies to ensure smooth integration into production. If you're passionate about continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence, we'd love to hear from you The Role: · Take ownership of daily Process Engineering tasks within an assigned value stream, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. · Apply standardised engineering tools and methodologies to maintain consistency and accuracy across all process-related activities. · Conduct PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and develop Control Plans to strengthen process control and enhance product quality. · Create and maintain detailed production process maps with associated improvement plans to optimise workflow and minimise waste. · Ensure up-to-date Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) are in place for all processes and products. · Monitor and analyse manufacturing process data, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. · Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to drive performance improvements across production operations. · Implement process control measures, including statistical process control (SPC) techniques, to enhance consistency and reduce variation. · Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related challenges and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). · Conduct process capability studies, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making to support production targets. · Play a key role in the introduction of new products and processes, ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing. · Support Lean improvement initiatives, participating in cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. · Contribute to the development and implementation of process engineering procedures, policies, and best practices. · Track and report on Process Engineering KPIs, supporting continuous improvement efforts. · Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards for all process engineering activities. · Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation in manufacturing processes. Additional Responsibilities: · Develop strong working relationships with the value stream team to enhance collaboration and efficiency. · Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required to support business objectives. The Person: · Process Engineering experience in a complex manufacturing environment. · Experienced in the use of standard process engineering tools. · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues. · Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards. · Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. · Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. · Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated, open to change, experience as a leader – able to mentor.
