The College is looking to employ a part time assistant caretaker on a permanent basis. The Site Team’s shifts cover the College’s daily opening hours of 6.30am to 6:30pm, but may vary subject to evening or weekend lettings or work schedules planned during school holiday periods. Initially you will be required to work from 2.30pm – 6.30pm.
We are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, a friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking assistant caretaker to join a small College Site Team. The successful candidate must be punctual, reliable and trustworthy and feel comfortable working both unsupervised and within a team.
You will be responsible for supporting the Site Supervisor in the general day to day maintenance around the College, looking after the buildings, site safety and security and ensuring the outside areas are kept clean and litter free. It is essential that you are able to undertake physically demanding work and be flexible and adaptable to changing demands. You must also be willing to work unsociable hours in support of College activities, fulfil key holder responsibilities and enjoy working in an environment with young people.

In return, you will be joining a friendly team of staff in a lovely location on a site that sits amongst its own well-maintained grounds. You will be able to join the Local Government Pension Scheme, have access to free parking, be issued PPE clothing and uniform, and be able to participate in a range of staff wellbeing activities and events.
