We are now moving into AMP8 and as part of continued growth across the entire UK & Ireland, we are looking to recruit a Design Lead / Design Manager.
In this role working closely with our Project Managers, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects. You will be responsible for the technical delivery, efficiency, and quality of all technical outputs.
Our projects range from feasibility studies and optioneering through to outline and detail design for construction. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the UK water industry’s largest clients delivering designs that will shape the way we manage water and wastewater for our local communities, using innovative and sustainable methods.
Our projects and clients include:
1. Severn Trent – Stantec has delivered projects in the Severn Trent region for several AMPs and are currently supporting Severn Trent with several Major AMP8 schemes. Some of these projects are delivered in collaboration with Design and Build contractors.
2. Wessex Water & Welsh Water – Stantec has been appointed on several AMP8 frameworks and have an increasing portfolio of high-profile projects to deliver.
3. South West Water – Stantec has successfully qualified for the AMP8 framework and are involved with several major schemes and projects in this region.

About you
To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject with, ideally, experience within the water industry. It will be beneficial if you are chartered or looking to gain professional qualification with a relevant engineering institution e.g. ICE, IMechE, IChemE, IET and this is something we can support you on.
In addition, you’ll have a passion for the water and environment sector and supporting our developing engineers. You will also be experienced in successful project delivery and working collaboratively with project teams to develop innovative solutions.
