With over 30 years of industry experience, this company specialises in water treatment and hygiene. They are now offering an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Job Overview
The Service Engineer will carry out water hygiene and treatment tasks for a variety of clients across London and the South. Responsibilities include water sampling, TMV servicing, temperature monitoring, tank cleaning, domestic service disinfection, showerhead descaling, and closed system testing.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting water hygiene and treatment services for a wide range of water systems and equipment.
* Assisting with the commissioning of water treatment equipment.
* Ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and Health and Safety standards, as well as company codes of practice.
* Maintaining clear communication with both the operations team and clients, providing updates on job progress and reporting issues promptly.
Additional Responsibilities
* Producing detailed reports on work completed.
* Supervising and providing training for junior engineers and graduates.
* Identifying opportunities for additional remedial work or potential new leads for the company.
* Staying up to date with current water hygiene practices, legislation, and treatment products, and recommending training where necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
* Knowledge of water treatment equipment such as water softeners, chlorine dioxide units, UV systems, and chemical dosing plant is beneficial.
* Basic understanding of HSG274 and ACOP L8 is preferred, though full training will be provided.
* Plumbing or electrical qualifications or experience are highly desirable.
* Competence in using computers, particularly Word and Outlook.
* Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent).
* At least 2 years of practical site experience is advantageous.
* Excellent planning, organising, and communication skills.
* A full valid UK driving licence is required.
