The Role:
Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for a Sample Design Machinist, to join our Wearables and Leisure team based in Gosport.
Key responsibilities for the Sample Design Machinist role include but are not limited to:
1. Supports design & pattern teams in contribution to the development of new product prototypes; adjusts machinery as needed and according to training - this may involve becoming certified or licensed as competent to operate or adjust that machinery
2. Carries out operational tasks to Survitec standard, ensuring work is completed right first time and flagging any instances of variation or failure to meet standard
3. Carries out installation tasks, following detailed instructions and working under close supervision to complete those allocated tasks
4. Helps to maintain and repair equipment and appliances by carrying out standard preparation, inspection, or maintenance tasks, following strict, detailed instruction

About You:
Essential criteria:
5. Educated to High School level with 2 GCSEs or equivalent
6. Experience using a sewing machine and confident in your ability
7. Some experience of operating complex machinery is desirable, but not necessary as full training is provided
