Themis Recruit are seeking a dedicated and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join an esteemed law firm. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal advice and services to our private clients, focusing on wills, trusts, estates, probate, and tax planning. This role requires a meticulous, client-oriented professional who can manage complex and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Client Management: Provide expert legal advice to clients on wills, trusts, estates, probate, and inheritance tax planning. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. Handle sensitive client information with utmost confidentiality and discretion. Wills and Estate Planning: Draft and advise on wills, powers of attorney, and advanced directives. Assist clients with estate planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure smooth estate administration. Trusts: Create and administer trusts, advising clients on the best structures to meet their needs. Provide ongoing trust management services, including compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Probate and Estate Administration: Manage the probate process, including obtaining grants of probate and letters of administration. Administer estates, ensuring all assets are correctly identified, valued, and distributed in accordance with the will or the law. Tax Planning: Advise clients on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and other relevant tax issues. Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize clients' financial positions. Compliance and Legal Research: Stay updated with changes in relevant laws and regulations. Ensure all work complies with current legislation and internal policies and procedures. Business Development: Identify opportunities for cross-selling and promoting the firm’s services. Participate in networking events and activities to enhance the firm's profile. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Private Client department and other departments. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members as needed. Requirements Education: Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate. Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in private client law, with a strong track record in wills, trusts, probate, and tax planning. Skills: Exceptional client management and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in legal research and staying abreast of legislative changes.
