2. A dentist appointed to this grade:
1. shall be registered and have a Licence to Practice with the General Dental Council (GDC);
And
2. shall have completed four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a less than full-time or flexible basis) since first obtaining registration, including adequate experience in the relevant specialty;
Or
3. shall have equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas.

If so you may want to apply for this post. Lothian Public Dental Service are looking for a specialist to work with our excellent dental team providing high quality clinical leadership and care for children living in Lothian.
We provide routine dental care to children with a wide range of disability and impairment, who cannot receive their care in the General Dental Service. We also provide care for children with high levels of dental disease and dental anxiety who are referred by General Dental Practitioners and other health and social care workers. Care is often provided under general anaesthesia or sedation. We are part of the Lothian Oral Health Service.
You will work alongside experience colleagues in the Public Dental Service and will be part of the Senior Paediatric Team, working closely with hospital colleagues and supporting the wider teams involved in the dental care of children.
Applicants must have current full registration with the General Dental Council, passed their MPaedDent exam (or equivalent) and be on the General Dental Council Specialist List for Paediatric Dentistry at the time of commencement of the post.
