Jobs with Purpose is working with FareShare North East, who are looking to recruit a Charity Business Manager, a brand new role working at the heart of the organisation. Working within the senior team, supporting leaders, trustees and the wider team, the postholder will play an integral part in the development and sustainability of an organisation working to build community resilience. As a key member of the team they are looking for someone who understands finance and everything that goes with running an efficient business, able to work with external accountants and other partners, ensuring all of our resources are well managed. Duties include meeting timely reporting deadlines, negotiating and monitoring contracts / service level agreements and ensuring policies are in place, compliant and reviewed by appropriate people, managing charity-wide administrative processes and supporting leadership and trustees in their work. The postholder will need to be personable, highly organised and flexible, working with a range of people and communicating using multiple methods. Being very IT literate and eager to learn new skills and working methods will also be an advantage. Having the skills and knowledge to take the lead in supporting excellent charity governance and administration will also be a crucial aspect of the role. You will be part of an upbeat, skilled, supportive team within an ambitious, values-led organisation that has a great leadership team and is focused on the wellbeing of its staff. Youll be contributing to a culture of togetherness, inclusivity, respect, and passion in a vision that no good food goes to waste in the North East of England, maximising the social value of surplus food through the groups the organisation supports.
