Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
Location: Lincoln
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30 (Term Time Only)
Pay: Starting at £90 per day (with potential for increase)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team in a Secondary SEN (Special Educational Needs) setting in Lincoln.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll be working closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. You’ll play a vital role in helping them access learning and achieve their full potential in a safe and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
* Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour and learning activities
* Encourage and motivate students to participate and engage in their education
* Support students in developing life skills and independence
* Help manage challenging behaviours using a calm, consistent, and empathetic approach
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN, is desirable
* Must be comfortable working with challenging behaviours
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
