The forthcoming refresh of our Greater Manchester Strategy and an accompanying long-term delivery plan will set out how we plan to turbocharge growth and create tens of thousands of new homes and jobs over the next decade. Our Director of Economy, Innovation and Culture will play a leading role in our local growth and international strategies, securing our status as a global destination for business. This includes ensuring that the opportunities and benefits of our growth are available to all places and people across Greater Manchester, while maximising Greater Manchester’s contribution to delivering the national industrial strategy. As a key member of GMCA’s senior leadership team, you will drive initiatives, oversee programmes and projects. You will collaborate with partners to achieve our strategic objectives, shaping the economic, cultural, and innovation landscape of Greater Manchester. Bringing experience of economic strategy development and delivery, you will oversee the implementation of our local growth plans, support the development of individual sector plans, work with partners in the planning of critical infrastructure, and influence policy at a regional and national level. Overseeing our range of world-class cultural and creative activities and initiatives, this is a critical role in promoting the rich heritage and diversity of our city region and the enormous contribution they make in local neighbourhoods through to Greater Manchester’s place on the world stage.
