Job Description: IMPLEMENTATION TECHNICIAN Under general supervision, the role is to pick, hot-stage and build EPoS solutions, within the Implementation Team, ensuring high quality preparation and delivery of customer’s solutions within timeframes and to defined standards. The role will be responsible for logistics and physical hardware preparation, maintaining support files, ensuring documentation is compiled and processed through internal systems, and assisting in supporting ‘best practices’ for EPoS Hot-Stage. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Working within the Implementation Team on project tasks; configuring customers systems Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues and minimise delays Ensure that equipment requirements for operations & customer projects are approved, ordered and received on time Management of stock availability and requirements. Just-In-Time (JIT) methodology Interact with customers and internal teams maintaining strong flow of communication Deliver and receive training as directed Complete assigned project-related task Record and track hardware and software assets, including breakdown of equipment per locations Work well in a team environment and alone, ensuring that department SLA targets are consistently achieved. Manage your work load to achieve the SLA’s in the most efficient way Support of “best practises”; make recommendations to facilitate positive changes to the further development of hot-stage and procurement processes Ensure all appropriate documentation relating to an order is completed, circulated and despatched as necessary Warehouse and Logistics - Booking in and despatching Goods. Production of delivery notes and adherence to asset tracking procedures Liaise with internal Teams providing Project, Product and Client specific knowledge Complete paperwork as directed Any other duties required which are reasonably within the scope of this role. As a growing service delivery company, the demands of the business and our clients will sometimes require work to be undertaken outside the normal working week, including evenings and weekends. The candidate must be willing to be flexible on working days and hours available, some out of hours work will be required in line with MCR Systems Overtime Policy. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Essential: Conceptual understanding of IT technology, networking and the Internet Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Desirable: EPoS preparation experience Experience in a customer service environment, both by telephone and face-to-face Exposure to Prince2 Project Management and ITIL Methodologies IT/EPoS experience - Experience with EPOS systems will be considered beneficial Relevant technology certification or university degree Networking Technologies (TCP/IP, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
