Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Trafford Council, Children First Response Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Provide an efficient and effective social work service within the First Response Team.
2. Undertake child and family assessments and have significant experience of working with children and young people in care as a practitioner.
3. Have a thorough understanding of key legislation, regulations, guidance and frameworks.
4. Experience of working with complex situations with a focus on problem solving.
5. Demonstrable knowledge, experience and skill in social work assessments.
6. Undertake detailed holistic assessments of children, young people and their families.
7. Ability to write clear and concise reports, maintain case records, and fulfill administrative requirements.
8. Able to prioritize, meet deadlines, and problem solve on a daily basis.
9. Liaise with other professionals.
37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
3 month Temporary Contract.
Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.
