Qualified Accountant job opportunity working for a lovely accountancy firm based near St Albans.
Proven practice experience is required along with client handling/managing experience. Therefore, you must be personable with good communication skills to build working relationships with clients.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing your own portfolio of clients as the main point of contact.
2. Overseeing the full client experience from initial client meetings to onboarding follow-up (onboarding and engagement admin is handled by the admin team).
3. Personal tax preparation.
4. Preparing statutory and management accounts, including analytic review of work completed.
5. Preparing financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts, corporation tax return, VAT, and wages control.
6. Relevant audit experience.
7. Attending and actively participating in management meetings.
8. Assisting the directors/clients with other ad hoc projects.
Competency in the use of Xero/Quickbooks, Iris, and Sage 50 Accounts is essential. Hybrid working is available with two work-from-home days per week.
