Position: Head of Sales
Reporting to: Head of Operations (day to day) & Managing Director/Business Owner (longer term planning)
Region/Geographical remit: South West region including Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and parts of West Oxfordshire; all new outlets within a 1 hours’ drive time of regional office in Chipping Sodbury (Cotswolds region)
Working arrangements: Flexible working between home, office and developments including 1 day working from home per week
Remuneration: Competitive base salary dependent on experience, car allowance, company bonus, pension, private health insurance, gym membership and an excellent company ‘culture’

Head of Sales – Purpose:
As Head of Sales, you will contribute to the overall success of the business by driving a strong sales performance through effective management of the Sales Advisors on their developments. You will lead the sales teams to ensure the agreed sales targets and objectives are met through the effective management of people and activities in line with the Customer Journey. To motivate and support their teams to perform to the best of their ability and achieve the required KPI company performances.
Head of Sales – The Successful Applicant:
* An experienced and imaginative Senior Sales professional, you’ll be a confident and resilient individual and most of all you have an ability to coach teams and motivate people to meet targets
* At least 5 years’ management experience working for a residential house builder within a sales environment; at either an SME or PLC National developer
* A proven track record of being in a sales management/head of department role operating across the South West patch including Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and parts of West Oxfordshire; all new outlets within a 1 hours’ drive time of regional office in Chipping Sodbury (Cotswolds region)
* Sound geographical knowledge of the South West patch including Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and parts of West Oxfordshire; all new outlets within a 1 hours’ drive time of regional office in Chipping Sodbury (Cotswolds region)
* A person who thrives in a fast-paced working environment and enjoys a ‘hands on’ approach

* Experience in site appraisal through to unit sales
* Specialist knowledge of Sales/Marketing techniques, research, and analysis
* Excellent communications skills and a proven sales record
* Experience of cost control and planning, prioritising, and organising work to meet targets
* Excellent negotiation and sales skills
* A good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* Friendly, trustworthy, and professional attitude
* Willing to be based at a sales hub and travel to all sales sites, including regional office, within the division
* Flexibility with hours and mobility, particularly regarding weekends and bank holidays
