Apprenticeship Overview: Salary: £7.55 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19 year olds Working Week: Monday to Friday 8:25am till 3:55pm with a 30-minute lunch break Hours: 34.5 hours per week Duration: 16 months Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship standard qualification Online training supported by our dedicated tutors Location: Dyche Lane, Jordan Thorpe, Sheffield, S8 8BR Website: https://www.meadowhead.sheffield.sch.uk/ We are currently seeking a Business Administration apprentice who is mature, positive, and able to multitask effectively. The role will involve supporting the Student Support reception, which includes maintaining and updating records related to medical administration, administering First Aid when necessary, managing student care plans, logging and reporting students leaving the site due to illness, and performing reception duties such as welcoming visitors to the school. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, can-do attitude to these varied tasks. Student/ Main Reception: Manage the Student Services reception, supporting students with first aid requirements and medical issues and ensuring links to home as necessary. Maintaining student registration marks if students need to leave during the school day. Receive and respond to telephone calls, ensuring contact is made with, or messages are forwarded to the appropriate person in a timely manner. Management of visitors signing in system and issuing of badges to ensure all visitors to the school are recorded. Assist with First Aid/ Welfare duties and looking after unwell students. Cover main reception areas within school ensuring they are tidy and welcoming at all times. Student support: Supervision of the medical room. Attend any specialised first aid training as necessary. (Epilepsy etc) Maintaining the lost property and pre-loved school uniform. Maintaining register for free school meals, informing relevant staff as necessary. Administration: Provide general clerical/admin support e.g. Photocopying, filing, faxing complete standard forms, respond to routine correspondence. Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems Undertake typing and word processing and other IT based tasks. Sort and distribute mail Maintain and collate student records (as directed) Develop and in-depth knowledge of the school systems and processes.
