Join our Lough Fea Quarry Team!
This role will begin with loading lorries with the loading Shovel.
This role will also involve operating primary and secondary crushing machines plus modern washing and screening machinery.
We have a vast array of mobile machinery from loading shovels to the dumpers. We have various mobile quarry plant /screens used for sand production that you will learn how to maintain.
We are a working quarry and have static quarry plant which extracts material from the ground and crushes to sand. There are many machines involved in this process from crushing to screening to stockpiling.
Working Hours:
* 47.5 hours per week
* Monday to Friday - 6am to 4.30pm + Saturday rota (with an option for a day off during the week)

About The Role
The role will entail:
• Operate a mix of static and mobile quarry plant machinery which may include digger, dumper, shovel, A60 Volvo to assist the team producing company goods (only upon complete training).
• To fuel up plant daily and complete checks.
• Carry out basic repairs as necessary and within your competence and as agreed by line management.
• To inspect, clean and maintain plant and equipment daily and report faults to management.
• Operate crushing and wash plant and mobile vehicles as main task of role to assist team producing Company goods.
• To inspect, clean and maintain plant and equipment daily and report faults to management;
• Ensure all work is completed to specified quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Carry out basic adjustments and routine maintenance on machine on completion
of training and as deemed competent by line management.
• Accurately complete paperwork and observe checklists as required.
• Operate machines within necessary safety guidelines and follow procedures in place relevant to
the department assigned to including specific hazard training for the job being done.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement as required.
• Any other duties as required and as deemed within your competence.

Desired Criteria
* • 5 GCSE’s including English & Maths A – C.
* • Working experience of static and mobile plant.
* • Experience in a similar quarry environment
* • Digger experience.
* • Knowledge of the quarry/concrete industry.
* • Full and clean driving licence.
