Network Management System Lead Architect required to join a leading Defence client based in Bristol.
Eligible for Security Clearance mandatory.
Maximum rate £75.00 per hour (Inside IR35)
Contract duration: 3 months +
Hybrid – working from home options available, though required in the office as and when required by the business.

Essential skills and experience:
1. Proven experience leading teams of technical personnel at various levels of experience.
2. Technical expertise as a lead architect in the design, operation, and support of telecom network management systems.
3. Ability to think strategically, setting technical direction and defining steps to reach a desired end state.
4. Demonstrable experience leading teams in the defence or telecommunication industry.
5. Understanding of change and configuration control process in the context of the Engineering Design Lifecycle.
6. Ability to represent the NMS function to the wider business- engaging in cross departmental working groups, committees and exercises.
7. UK SC Clearance or ability to obtain under sponsorship.
Desirable skills and experience:
1. Experience with the MILSATCOM domain but not essential.
2. Previous experience with a satellite network operator.
3. Strong understanding of IT network disaster recovery practices.
4. Knowledge of satellite Network management and configuration systems would be an advantage.
5. Understanding of the ITIL model and TM framework.
Education and qualifications:
1. Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
Additional skills and attributes:
1. Be conversant with the standards relating to the Systems Engineering discipline (e.g. ISO/IEC/IEEE15288).
2. Must hold or be able to obtain SC Clearance.
