The School of Nursing and Midwifery is looking to appoint an experienced academic and/or health care practitioner to contribute to our new and exciting multidisciplinary PGCert Enhanced Clinical Practitioner Programme. This expertise may include knowledge, skills and expertise in clinical assessment, physiology/pathophysiology, clinical decision making and reasoning and leadership/change management at level 7.
The post holder will be expected to teach a range of core subjects and should have a flexible approach to the subject material they teach. The post holder will, therefore, be committed to promoting academic enquiry, helping develop critical thinking in students by supporting safe, effective and evidence-based practice. By providing expert knowledge, they will act as course lead and coordinate agreed modules, assess students and supervise projects. The post holder should be able to draw upon his or her own subject knowledge to design teaching sessions that maximise the integration of theory to practice. They will also be able to inspire and motivate learners, colleagues and employers and be committed to compliance with the regulatory and quality assurance processes for occupational apprenticeships through collaborative working practices from recruitment through to apprenticeship award.
