Within our Capital Design and Delivery department, we are looking for a Technical Lead for Functional Safety to join our Design Excellence team.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
This role will determine how we work and the standards we adopt in relation to health and safety within our delivery and design department, including functional and process safety, working with senior leaders from across Capital and Chief Engineer. This role will communicate improvements to the design team and hold leaders to account for adoption of standards, encouraging challenge and feedback for the purpose of innovation. The role holder will be responsible for setting, maintaining and raising internal standards and application of statutory and regulatory requirements within the business. In addition, this role will ensure that designers and project managers are competent in relation to health and safety, and act as the go to person for process and functional safety queries.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
You will have experience in providing health and safety leadership to a large programme of capital works, and will be a subject matter expert in the discharge of client and principal designer level duties, as well principal contractor. You will be a subject matter expert in process and functional safety application in a safety critical industry, with the ability to lead by technical example. You will have experience working within a design environment, and will have experience delivering in both outline and detailed design.
