About the role
The UCL Department of Geography is seeking to appoint a part time, one-year fixed term Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Environment, Politics and Society at from September. This is a, one-year fixed term role to cover a member of staff. The salary range for this position is Grade 7, SP 33-37: £46, - £51, pro rata, per annum (including London Allowance).
The position will support teaching in Human Geography across the department, with a strong focus on delivering content for students on the MSc Environment, Politics and Society programme. The Department encourages applications from those trained in relevant aspects of human geography or an array of relevant social science fields who can undertake tutorial support across our first year curriculum.

About you
Candidates must hold a PhD in a relevant discipline by the time they begin their appointment. Applicants must demonstrate expertise in the areas to be taught, with an aptitude for teaching and developing Geography modules at both undergraduate and graduate levels and be committed to fostering a positive learning environment for students. Excellent presentation and teaching communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively and to deadlines, and ademonstrated commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion is essential.
