Job summary We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified & dynamic individual to take up the post of Sexual Safety Lead within the forensic directorate. The post holder must be an independent sexual advisor and have experience of supporting victims of sexual violence. This role will require supporting staff and service users across both our low secure and medium secure services. The post holder will be expected to work with multi disciplinary teams to provide support and guidance for victims in line with legal frameworks. Main duties of the job The role will include supporting and providing leadership on the NHS sexual safety charter. Within this work the expectation will be to work with colleagues around development of policy and implementation of this. In this role you will also require knowledge of relational security, trauma informed care and reducing restrictive practice initiatives. The role will provide support for staff and service users who experience sexual violence in a trauma informed way. The post hold will have an oversight of sexual violence data and interpret analyse data within governance structures and meetings to improve outcomes for staff and service users providing sexual safety awareness. The post holder will inform and support the forensic directorate in policy and guidance around sexual safety. The post holder will be able to provide guidance on how to reduce risk or minimize harm to victims. They will produce a rolling programme of training for staff on sexual safety for awareness and victim support.
