Our client is a leading sub-contract service provider specializing in industries such as aerospace and automotive. They are committed to excellence and innovation, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to lead their quality function and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards across high-volume operations. Your leadership and expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS), as well as experience with ISO9001 and IATF standards, will be essential in ensuring that the company’s products meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and Manage Quality Assurance: Oversee the implementation of quality control and assurance processes in high-volume manufacturing operations.
* Leadership of a Small Dynamic Team: Manage and motivate a small team to meet quality objectives in a fast-paced environment.
* Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts, particularly focusing on Non-Conforming Products (NCP).
* QMS Leadership: Ensure the implementation and maintenance of ISO9001, IATF, and ISO 14001 standards, guaranteeing adherence to the highest quality levels.
* Manage Relationships: Foster strong relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements.
* Audit and Compliance: Conduct audits on systems, processes, and products, ensuring alignment with industry standards and internal quality expectations.
* Support NPI and APQP: Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) strategies and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), including PPAP documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven Quality Leadership: Extensive experience in a Quality Manager role, ideally within the automotive sector, with a strong focus on ISO 9001 and IATF compliance.
* Team Leadership: Experience in managing and motivating teams to meet quality objectives in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.
* Engineering Expertise: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with required product standards.
* Quality Standards Knowledge: Strong understanding of ISO 9001, IATF, VDA 6.3 audit policies, and inspection techniques, including knowledge of plastic mouldings.
* Health, Safety, and Environmental Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant health & safety and environmental procedures in manufacturing settings.
* Strong IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) for effective communication and documentation.
