As part of the Responsible Designer, my client delivers the design of some of the Nuclear Island (NI) buildings for Hinkley Point C from their Bristol Office and will also replicate the NI design for SZC in the years to come.
As the Technical Lead, you will provide technical oversight of the contract(s), including the surveillance of technical documentation, the management and resolution of open points, and changes related to Design, Manufacturing, and Qualification. You will also be responsible for keeping the contract configuration compliant with the project progress. In order to do this, you will work closely with the relevant disciplines in my client, as well as within the client and the suppliers to ensure the technical requirements are met. Typical TL activities include, but are not limited to:

* Reporting of KPIs to the CEL
* Ensure qualification activities are progressing according to the contract progress and site needs
* Help to upskill other members of the team, including other less experienced TLs

* Understanding of the EPR or general PWR design
* Understanding of Equipment interfaces (safety case, systems engineering, CDM) and qualification
* Strong communication skills

* Experience using change-management, commercial and deliverable management systems (UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR, Teamcenter) is advantageous
* IT literate
* French-speaking would be an advantage
* Master’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific Discipline
