Brief Description The General Operative provides a key role within the manufacturing function of the Company and the role is responsible for the operation of the presses, drilling machines and other assembly equipment and activities associated with the packaging, movement and control of all products. Hours: 07:30-16:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00-14:00 Friday. Location: Stonehouse Responsibilities Responsible for operating the Factory presses, ensuring best practice and safety procedures are adhered to at all times; Responsible for working in all areas of the factory including; SMC, drilling machines, stores & assembly; Preparing & loading goods for despatch, following Company procedure, as required to meet the needs of the business; Assisting with fork lift duties, where a licence is held; Packing materials for movement and storage around the Factory and despatch; Labelling of goods; Assisting goods inwards with picking, packing and labelling for the daily manifest; Responsible for putting stock away & taking part in monthly stock takes; Responsible for the general housekeeping of the factory, ensuring H&S guidelines are followed at all times; Responsible for ensuring the safety of yourself & others working on site, at all times, reporting any issues or concerns to management; Any other duties as assigned by the management team, in order to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications/Skills Previous supervisory / training experience. Upbeat, ‘can-do’ attitude. Organised. Excellent communication skills.
