We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Tooling/Maintenance Engineer to support one of our customers. The role will require you to support current engineering teams, where you will be required to assess, report and then carry out identified repairs, modifications and upgrades on the client's existing press tools and dies used within their production facility.
The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to our client and will be expected to be proactive and self-motivated in delivering the targeted outputs to support the product.
Working within the ME team in our Automotive Business Unit, successful candidates will join our experienced team, with whom you will work on varied projects in high-tech and future-oriented industries taking on exciting and responsible tasks according to your skills and knowledge, thus expanding your existing know-how.
Responsibilities
1. Identify tools and dies that require repair and then create a report/specification of required works.
2. Gather data and work with process experts and the Engineering team.
3. Update client Tool Follow-up sheets (PDCA) per tool.
4. Additionally, you may be required to undertake tool qualification at supplier facilities.
5. Process maturity and validation process tuning and validation in plant.
Qualifications
1. Mechanical Engineer or equivalent or time served Tooling/Maintenance engineer.
Essential skills
1. Experience with mechanical and electrical tooling repair, maintenance and fitting.
2. Understanding of large metal presses.
3. Microsoft Office: Expert.
4. Covering Tool Experience: Expert.
Desired skills
1. Experience in Automotive environment.

1. Min 5 years experience in similar role.
