Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month secondment/fixed term for an Operational Flow Assistant Clerk at Prince Charles Hospital. The post holder will be assisting the Operational Bed Managers and Head of Patient Flow to ensure the safe and effective utilisation of hospital capacity and patient flow. This will involve liaising with Community Hospital sites and the CTMUHB Discharge Hub. The post holder will be based in Prince Charles Hospital. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. Main duties of the job The role will include maintaining patient flow through both Scheduled and Unscheduled care pathways, and supporting internal and external transfers of care. This will include but not limited to, booking of Non -Emergency Patient Transport. The post holder will be required to; Liaise with ward/unit staff and wider members of the Multi Disciplinary Team to ensure effective and efficient patient flow. Gather required data to enable the production of reports and to support the Operational Bed Manager decision making. Will assist the Operational Bed Manager by developing and implementing patient flow update plans, and keep the Operational Bed Manager up to date with any issues that arise. This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.
