Are you an experienced senior HR Business Partner? Are you looking for a new challenge in an innovative and dynamic organisation? One where you can develop your career, enhance your skills and be a part of delivering great care for patients? A place you’ll be valued for the contribution you make to delivering the organisation's people strategy and objectives?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, kind, responsive and adaptable HR professional to join us as the Head of our Business Partnering team. With services based across Kent, Sussex and London, there’ll be occasional travel, although much of the time you’ll work remotely and will connect with colleagues digitally.
You’ll be an integral and visible member of the senior leadership teams in the designated service you’ll be supporting and the People and OD team. You’ll shape the strategic direction of services as a trusted partner, have great leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate colleagues around you, support the team to deliver our ambitious We Care strategy and support culture change and development to enable us to become the best employer.
We put patients first and we expect all of our colleagues to do the same, so although NHS experience isn’t a requirement for this role, you’ll need to share our passion for delivering excellent patient care and keep that passion at the forefront of your professional activity at all times. If you can bring a professional approach and fresh ideas, why not join us!
As a senior People professional, you’ll develop a robust and in-depth understanding of your workforce, model our leadership behaviours and live the values of the organisation. You’ll identify and deliver OD interventions to drive cultural change; identify creative and innovative solutions to address workforce challenges; be the voice of your services on workforce matters; deliver on key priorities and inspire and support your teams to think differently to meet the challenge of continuing to deliver exceptional healthcare services in a continuously changing landscape.
You’ll have experience of:
1. analysing data and workforce metrics to identify people challenges, inform decision making and drive change;
2. leading organisational change and TUPE processes;
3. organisational development fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture;
4. partnering with teams to identify talent gaps and implement strategies for recruitment, retention, and succession planning;
5. developing programmes to enhance employee skills;
6. building excellent working relationships with stakeholders and collaborative working to deliver workforce strategy;
7. leading a team of HR professionals.
You’ll get:
1. a competitive salary, not commission based;
2. a great NHS pension and benefits package;
3. a supportive workplace where your health and wellbeing is a high priority;
4. a place to bring your ‘whole-self’ to work;
5. remote and flexible working options;
6. development to enable you to achieve your aspirations.
Rated ‘outstanding’ by the CQC, we’ve got a passion for delivering high standards of patient care and excellent services to improve the health of our communities. To do this we need outstanding people who share our values: compassionate, aspirational, responsive, excellent.
We know a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion leads to better patient care and a happier workforce. We pride ourselves in being diverse and welcome applications from people with varied backgrounds, perspectives and experiences.
As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want you to be able to work in a way that is best for us, for our patients and for you. Talk to us about a flexible working arrangement that won’t involve sacrificing time for personal interests or family commitments. We’ll support you to work flexibly in a way that suits us both.
At KCHFT, we strongly encourage colleagues in clinical and non-clinical roles who have direct or social contact with patients to be fully vaccinated. In this way we will be doing all we can to ensure your safety and that of your colleagues and the patients we serve.
It is important to us that all our staff are aligned to our Values and in particular the behaviours we expect from KCHFT managers. With this in mind, as part of the selection process for this position, you will be asked to complete two other activities in addition to the competency-based interview that you will be invited to. This extended selection process is designed to assess your management style and the specific details of the exercises will be given if you are successfully shortlisted. The provisional date of the selection event is Thursday 5th December 2024, although this may be subject to change.
Good luck! We can’t wait to meet you and welcome you to #teamKCHFT, #cometocommunity.
