Job summary
The post holder is responsible for ensuring a comprehensive administrative and clerical service is provided to the Diabetes & Endocrine, Rheumatology, MDTU & Anticoagulant departments managing a team of administrative staff.
The post holder will lead a team of patient navigators and be responsible for the smooth running of the patient RTT journey from referral to discharge. Ensure that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs. To be aware of and support national RTT targets and internal Trust/divisional performance (via the LUNA tool). To support the Operations/Service Managers team with any reasonable management requests.
Main duties of the job
Supervise the day-to-day work of the divisional administrative teams in the Diabetes & Endocrine, Rheumatology, MDTU & Anticoagulant departments.
Ensure that patient navigators and other members of the administrative team adhere to Trust policies and standard operating procedures at all times.

1. Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience
2. RSA 2 or RSA 3 word processing/typing or equivalent experience
3. Knowledge of medical terminology.

5. Strong working knowledge and proficient in the use of Outlook package - PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word as well as Access, email, Internet
6. Knowledge of Cerner

1. Previous experience of working with the public and/or patients in a healthcare environment
2. Previous administrative and organisational experience
