Job Description
A chance to help build a new proposition for this challenger bank. Prior 0-1 experience is essential.
> Salary: £75k-£80k + 10-20% bonus + 10% pension + stocks & equity (Total package ~£100k).
> You’ll need to be able to come into the London office 1-2 times per week (ideally 2).
> Sponsorship or fully remote working is NOT available.
THE CLIENT
Unlike traditional banks that make money off loans and overdrafts, this bank focuses on helping customers grow their wealth through a digital-first platform. They bring together equity, pensions, and investments into one seamless experience, making wealth management smarter and more accessible.
They’re now at Series C funding stage, with around 150 employees. They operate with the agility of a start-up while having the credibility of a fully licensed bank. They also run a start-up within the bank, offering a white-label banking product that’s expected to scale rapidly.
THE ROLE
This is an opportunity to shape a brand-new investment product from the ground up. It’s a completely fresh space for them – an investment platform in its early stages with massive potential. You’ll be designing and building this product from scratch, ensuring it truly meets the needs of their customers.
You’ll work within a squad that includes a Product Owner, Engineers, QA, and other specialists, plus a User Researcher who supports across all products. The first 6 months will be heavily focused on research and strategy – testing ideas, gathering insights from clients, and ensuring the right product is being built before its launch in July.
You’ll also contribute to their design system, which is still evolving – so plenty of room to make a real impact.
THE CANDIDATE
* End-to-end product designer (UX-focused, but solid UI skills needed too).
* Proven track record of taking a product from 0 to 1 (THIS IS ESSENTIAL)
* Experience in Series A-C startups or companies in high-growth phases is a big plus.
* Finance experience is ideal but not essential.
* Happy to remain an individual contributor rather than moving into management.
