Location: Head Office, Swindon Salary: Up to £28,500 per year Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday to Friday About the Role Quality Care Recruit is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to support the finance and revenue team for a prominent family-run care home organisation. This reputable client prides itself on exceptional care standards across its homes, each with unique characteristics, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for all residents. Key Responsibilities Sales Ledger Support: Perform Local Authority reconciliations (weekly/monthly), manage admissions/discharges, and update resident contract terms as required. Income Reconciliation: Ensure all income aligns within the month-end timetable, monitor overdue balances, and issue reminders as per credit control policies. Payment Coordination: Foster positive relationships with customers for timely payments, and address any outstanding issues in collaboration with the internal sales team. Account Management: Oversee a shared inbox for customer queries, invoices, and statements, delivering prompt and professional responses. Reconciliation Duties: Daily reconciliation of customer accounts and bank statements via Sage 200. Debt Analysis: Monitor accounts for potential bad debt, providing insights to the Financial Controller. Ad-hoc Support: Assist in implementing new policies and managing historical debts as needed. Candidate Profile Qualifications: GCSE in English and Maths (A-C grade or equivalent) Experience: At least one year in credit control or accounting within a high-transaction or labor-intensive environment. Experience in the care sector is desirable. Skills: Strong reconciliation abilities, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with Sage 200 is advantageous. Personal Attributes: The ideal candidate is an independent worker with excellent prioritization skills, a team player, and possesses strong interpersonal abilities.
