The Grant Thornton Audit and Assurance team has a track record of operating at the highest levels for clients in a broad range of industry sectors. Our experienced team of professionals have developed an efficient approach that delivers high-quality audits and comprehensive value-added advice, with transparency and collaboration throughout.
By joining our Audit and Assurance team, you will work closely with our audit Partners and have a real opportunity to provide a valued opinion within the team. Excellent opportunities exist for ambitious and driven candidates to progress within the firm.
We are looking for passionate individuals, who are self-motivated, capable of using their own initiative, and have the ability to plan, control and complete audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Main responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
2. Oversee the preparation of audit plans, risk assessments, and audit programs tailored to each client’s specific needs.
3. Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their main point of contact for audit-related matters.
5. Ensure audit engagements comply with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and the firm’s quality control procedures.
6. Assist in identifying opportunities for additional services and business development with existing and prospective clients.
Skills and attributes:
1. Minimum 5 years' experience required.
2. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or similar qualification).
3. Commercially aware.
4. Strong technical knowledge.
5. Experience working with a diverse portfolio of clients.
6. Ability to work on your own initiative.
7. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
8. Experience gained in a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous but not essential.
