Scope of Work:
Kent is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in Woking on an outside IR35 contract basis.
Deliverables:
1. Design the electrical distribution systems in a project team environment with a focus on studies, Front End (FEED) design, detailed design for new plants.
2. Prepare Electrical equipment specifications, data sheets and purchasing requisitions.
3. Develop/Coordinate protective relay settings and coordination studies.
4. Load List and Electrical equipment sizing.
5. Design of LV & MV Single Line Diagrams with strong knowledge of Relay & Metering systems associated with substations and e-houses.
6. Design of motor protection and control schematics/wiring diagrams.
7. Review vendor designs for compliance with Technical Specifications and applicable standards.
8. Coach and support the team members on projects.
9. Provide Electrical BOMs and major equipment costs for capital cost estimates at various project stages (Feasibility Study, PDB and Detailed Engineering).
10. Establish the scope of work for projects/proposals, developing engineering cost estimates and deliverable lists.
11. Attend project team meetings, Client meetings and vendor review meetings as required.
12. Establish a good working relationship with the Clients.
13. Review designs for constructability and accordance with project requirements.
Key Requirements:
1. Typically Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. Experience working for Engineering / Client organisations in the Oil and Gas Industry.
3. Exposure to Consultancy, FEED / Detailed Design and EPC projects.
4. Knowledge of international equipment specifications and codes.
5. In depth knowledge of standard international specifications and codes.
6. Knowledge of Safety and Quality procedures.
7. Activity Scheduling and discipline work priorities.
