Financial Controller - Maternity Cover
Location: North West (Hybrid - in Office 1 day/week)
Contract: Fixed-Term Maternity Cover (15-18 Months)

A leading and innovative UK-based organisation is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our Finance Team.
Job Summary:
This role focuses on managing statutory financial reporting, internal controls, and audits while overseeing financial compliance and supporting the charity's long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee compliance with financial regulations and standards, acting as the technical finance lead.
* Lead the group's statutory accounts preparation and manage the external audit process.
* Ensure balance sheet integrity and oversee monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
* Manage financial integrations arising from Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
* Oversee submissions to HMRC
* Lead the production of internal management accounts, working closely with Finance Business Partners.
* Coach, develop, and manage team members to meet performance and professional development goals.
Ideal Candidate:
* ACA/ACCA Qualified (Essential).
* Significant experience in financial management, audit, and statutory reporting.
* Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
* Strong experience in M&A accounting, consolidation, and complex reporting in a group structure.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage audits and integrations effectively.
* Proficient communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
