Place of Work: Hybrid working model with offices in Knutsford, Cheshire. Free onsite parking available. Flexible work location between home and office. Travel within the UK and internationally with overnight stays required as per event schedule.
Summary of the Role: Join our dynamic and growing team as a creative thinking Sales and Events Coordinator, responsible for supporting our small team to deliver exceptional private and corporate events. Help to create proposals, source suppliers, create and manage budgets, build and nurture client relationships, support business growth, and ensure outstanding customer service. From sales to event execution, you'll play a pivotal role in our company's growth and success.
This is a very varied role where proactivity and creative thinking are essential. As a small business, teamwork and flexibility are essential.
Main Responsibilities/Duties:
* Support the team during planning execution and onsite support for live events.
* Engage in proactive sales efforts, dedicating approximately 25% of your time to sales activities, subject to the demands of live events.
* Cultivate strong client relationships to drive repeat business.
* Collaborate closely with the team and clients to understand objectives and deliver tailored event solutions.
* Source quotes from suppliers, input into budgets, and ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
* Source and propose suitable venues in line with client needs.
* Research and propose suitable events and exhibitions for client participation, enhancing brand visibility.
* Create comprehensive proposals aligned with client strategies, objectives and budgets.
* Maintain up-to-date project and event statuses, ensuring effective communication internally and externally.
* Support with event registration with GDPR compliance on behalf of clients.
* Prepare clear schedules and running orders for team, supplier and client reference.
* Perform general office administration tasks as needed.
* Minimum 1 years of experience in live events planning, delivery, or management.
* Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong creative thinking skills, offering innovative ideas aligned with client and business goals.
* Passionate, enthusiastic, and customer-focused attitude.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability with project management systems.
* Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent communication skills and time management abilities.
* Flexible approach to work, ensuring projects are profitable and cost-effective.
* Valid driver's license.
* Proficiency in Canva for presentations, proposals, PowerPoint and basic design or enthusiasm to learn.
* Brief writing for designers and external suppliers.
Experience:
