The School of Biological Sciences technical team is looking to recruit a team player to assist with the support of Research Laboratory infrastructure, basic equipment, and facilities. The post is available for 1 year, with a possibility of an extension up to three years. Laboratory experience or similar work is an advantage, but it is essential you have an appreciation of hazards in the workplace and can participate in the promotion of a positive health & safety culture. The Biological Sciences technical team is an adaptable, proactive, and hardworking team and the ideal candidate should have a good range of skills that will complement the team’s work ethic, a keen eye for accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Please note the SoBS technical team does not participate in research or process samples for research projects.
The technical team is busy all year but especially during semesters, and you are discouraged from taking annual leave during this time.
