TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER
Location: BOURNEMOUTH
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + BONUS + TRAINING + BENEFITS
Due to the continued success of the business, my client is looking to add to their team with the addition of a Project Manager, with experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing business.
We are looking for an ambitious Project Manager, or a senior Electrical design engineer looking to move into Project Management. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on projects for the Defence and Military markets primarily.
THE ROLE:
1. Running projects - The company specializes in producing bespoke testing systems.
2. Ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget.
3. Dealing directly with the customers, to overcome any issues.
4. Meet customers on site where required.
5. Short turnaround projects - 12-24 weeks.
6. Managing multiple projects at a time. Once fully fledged this will be 4 or 5.
7. Conduct research to ensure we remain commercially competitive with projects.
8. Work closely with other people involved in the project, typically Designers and the Account Manager.
9. Work efficiently with the rest of the PM team, streamlining operations.
10. Scheduling workload and resources, as required.
THE PERSON:
1. Ideally have previous Project management experience, however this is not mandatory.
2. Being able to communicate with all types of people - Technical and Non-technical.
3. Exceptional time management skills.
4. Solid technical understanding.
5. Experienced in supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
